If you’re wondering what to do with your Saturday then we have the perfect place for you to either think it over or hang out with your friends. Columbia Traders has expanded it’s hours on Saturday! We’ll open the doors at 10 am if you want to grab some early morning conversation and keep the lights on until 8 pm so you can have a great place to hang after dinner. Coffee Houses have always been one of my favorite spots for anything from a simple and sweet date to a great place to talk about the movie you just saw with a group of your friends. We’ll have Mochas, Lattes and Frapps to fuel the conversation and something sweet and delicious to share like a “Main Street Mocha” or “Slap Yo Momma!” Cupcake. Take your adventure to Downtown Joplin. Columbia Traders will be ready for you with our new Saturday hours, open 10 am to 8 pm.Here’s some classic theme music to get you started.

Odds are its been a while since you’ve eaten a cupcake. If you’re like me then you don’t consider yourself a “cupcake type of person.” That was until I saw this unique pastry at Columbia Traders and I thought for only $2.50 it was worth a try. Most of us associate this type of desert with cheap sugar filled birthday treats but this my friends should be considered edible art. The “Orange Happy?” is made from scratch by Lindsay, Columbia Trader’s baker, who works hard every morning to make your day that much brighter by crafting something amazing. The delicate balance of orange zest and cream beautifully accent the moist foundation of this delicious masterpiece. So maybe it’s time you ask yourself this question…
And be prepared to shatter all your preconceived notions about cupcakes when you visit Columbia Traders.
The View
If you haven’t stepped inside Columbia Traders since we reopened you’re really missing something special. We’ve added some of the most comfortable leather couches on one side that offer a great view of Downtown Joplin. This creates a wonderful street side lounge perfect for conversation with an old friend or someone you just met. Saddle that with a Peanut Butter Frapp and you have a lazy Saturday afternoon worth remembering. In addition to the new couches at the front we’ve also added some new art on the inside. It sets a sweet and simple tone for your visit. Here are some of the pieces you may not have seen yet.
That’s just the beginning of what’s going on inside. A subtle background for the dialogue ready for the stage that is the new Columbia Traders. If you’re finding this now it’s very possible you were looking for information on Columbia Traders. It’s also possible that you were looking for a local coffee house in Joplin…or maybe you randomly stumbled upon this. Either way there are a few things I can tell you that might be helpful. Columbia Traders is now open Monday-Friday from 8 am to 8 pm. We’re also open on Saturdays from 10-3pm. We plan on expanding those hours but that’s what were looking at for now.
Coffee
That has become the central focus of Columbia Traders with our new transition. The drinks taste and look different. Most people tell us its the best they’ve ever had. We’d like you to come in and see for yourself. We offer Mochas, Lattes, Macchiatos, Frapps and espresso drinks on ice.
Cupcakes
Another thing you’ll find is our new selection of amazing cupcakes. They are soft, moist and extremely delicious. You’ll find they pair well with our signature coffee drinks. We also offer cake balls which pack all the flavor of your favorite cake into a tiny delicious bite. We think you’ll love them.
So that’s pretty much it. You can grab a Mocha and Cupcake for around 6 bucks and that’s with tax included. We also have plenty of room for you and your friends and Free WIFI. We hope to see you soon.
